3 Ways to Cultivate Your Feminine Energy
If you’re a woman and you’re aware of this thing called masculine and feminine energy, you most likely know what it’s like to be in your masculine. It’s the warrior in you, the fighter, the ‘get sh%t done’ girl, it’s the part in you that’s on top of things, leading the meetings and/or the kids. Your masculine energy is the one that has the schedules on track, and the planning done, the part in you that actions the actions in a crisis and the part in you that wants to succeed.
Your inner masculine energy is very much needed and can be called upon to do hard things and to keep you and potentially your loved ones safe.
So what’s the problem ?
When a woman remains stuck in her masculine energy, when it’s all she knows. When she brings her warrior in even when the ‘war’ is over; when she brings her masculine to the situation where her feminine would be much more effective. Imagine the feminine as the lover in you. She’s able to play, to relax, to indulge her senses, to laugh, to create and to seduce. She has incredible power but it is one of drawing in, rather than sending out .
We all, men and women, ideally want to be balanced in both these energies. To know the masculine and the feminine and to have healed each of these polarities so that we can bring in the best one at the right moment.
So if the feminine is where a woman’s pleasure resides, her playfulness and her joy, how can she cultivate it?
Remembering, recognising and cultivating the feminine is a process. Women have been culturally conditioned out of the feminine mostly because it became too dangerous. In a world where masculine ideals of success and the nuclear family have held the power, the safest and smartest choice for women was to align with those values, suppress their femininity, and cultivate masculine traits
That war however is over and it’s not only safe to explore the feminine, it’s also essential to unlocking all of a your power and potential.
So how do we do this?
Here are 3 practical things you can do to get your started
1. Listen to the sound of your voice
This practice is rooted in energetics and has to do with the fact that energy follows attention. It may take a bit of practice but when you speak, listen to the sound of your voice, similar to how you would listen to background music. You’ll notice something kind of magical. Your voice will invariably drop lower, lowering your centre of gravity, which has a grounding, rooting and confidence boosting effect. You’ll most likely speak slower and develop a pacing to your voice that has a magnetic effect on the person or people you’re speaking to . Try it for a week and see what happens.
2. Master the art of the compliment
Feminine energy has a profound capacity to receive, and it is in that receiving that pleasure resides. The next time someone gives you a compliment, try to truly take it in. Instead of brushing it off, allow yourself to feel it fully, as if you’re drawing the attention inward, letting it settle deep in your body, perhaps even directing it toward your womb.
Another way to receive is to imagine the compliment as sunlight, gently absorbing into your skin. Too often, we instinctively deflect compliments and attention, even while longing for them. We respond with a quick, almost dismissive “Thank you”, a reflex that immediately shifts the energy back to the sender, and then we wonder why we feel unseen, unfulfilled, or drained.
Next time someone admires your hair, your style, or your presence, say whatever feels natural, but pause for a moment and let yourself truly receive it. Bask in the warmth of that attention. You’ll notice that the more you allow yourself to receive, the more you naturally attract
3. Keep more for yourself
Women are naturally generous. The moment we experience something joyful, whether it’s as small as an inspiring IG post, good news, or an amazing workout, our instinct is to share it. We want to call someone, tell the story, give it away in some form.
This isn’t just generosity, it’s conditioning. We have forgotten how to hold energy, and that inability often spills into other areas of life, making it harder to hold onto money, love, or attention.
The feminine has an incredible capacity to hold, but it’s something we must actively cultivate. Next time you receive something, or simply find yourself in a beautiful moment, resist the urge to give it away immediately. Keep it for yourself, even just for a little while, an hour, an afternoon, maybe forever.
By doing this, you expand your energetic ability to hold. And when more good things come your way, you will know how to keep them, nourish yourself with them, and thrive in abundance. There will always be more.
